* Shell adds dedicated Rotella oil for natural gas engines
Tampa,FL,USA -Fleet Owner -Feb 10, 2010: -- Shell Lubricants introduced its new Rotella T3 NG 15W-40 motor oil for use in compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) engines at the Technology & Maintenance Council’s annual meeting in Tampa this week. Shell said the new oil “uses a customized combination of high-performance additives to adapt and protect under the range of pressures and temperatures found in CNG/LNG fueled engines“... T3 NG is an SAE 15W-40 rated oil is for applications such as trucks and buses fitted with engines designed to run on 100% CNG or LNG, particularly those preferring relatively low-ash formulations.
