WEATHER TROUBLES * USA - Some trucks banned from Ind. Toll Road amid storm
IND,USA -Fox 28 -15 Jan 2009: -- Indiana Toll Road officials are banning some large trucks from the highway because of hazardous weather... Toll Road officials say oversized steel-haulers and triple-trailer trucks will not be allowed on the highway that crosses northern Indiana until at least noon Thursday... State police say a crash Wednesday night on Interstate 80/94 in Gary killed 42-year-old Cory Lemon of Hanna. Police say he lost control on the snow and ice. Earlier in the day, two people died in a 20-vehicle pileup in near-blizzard conditions on the Toll Road near Porter... Temperatures hovering around zero and lake effect snow are combining to make travel hazardous in northern Indiana. The National Weather Service says there is 15 inches of snow on the ground in LaPorte, with 3.5 inches of snow falling in one hour overnight...
