Strategic Buyers - International Deals
* Singapore - 9 Dec: STX Pan Ocean Singapore Pte Ltd and Im Yeop Choi have acquired the remaining 45.5% of STX Gulf Shipping FZCO for $800,000. Based in Dubai, UAE, STX provides dry bulk tanker transportation.
* Denmark - 16 Dec: Frode Laursen A/S has acquired the Scanita, Denmark based freight forwarding operations of Danish Scanita Transport System. Terms were not disclosed.
* Australia - 21 Dec: BAE Systems Australia Limited has acquired Tenix Toll Defence Logistics Pty Ltd ("TTDL") for $109.9 million. TTDL provides warehousing, maintenance and distribution services to the Australian Defence Force.
* Norway - 23 Dec: Ocean HeavyLift ASA has acquired Offshore Heavy Transport AS. Offshore manages heavy transport vessels from its base in Oslo, Norway. Terms were not disclosed.
* Russia -30 Dec: Morbank JSE has acquired an additional 5.6% of Far Eastern Shipping Company Plc ("FESCO") for $39.8 million to increase its ownership to 7.2%. Based in Vladivostok, Russia, FESCO provides shipping, intermodal, railway and container terminal services.
* France - 30 Dec: Louis Dreyfus Armateurs has acquired 23.0% of Fairstar Heavy Transport N.V. ("FHT"). Based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, FHT provides long distance ocean transportation services for offshore and onshore industries worldwide. Terms were not disclosed.
US Domestic Deals
* Valparaiso, IND - 15 Dec: US 1 Industries Inc. announced the pending acquisition of 60.0% of American Road Line, Inc. ("ARL"). Based in Moon Township, PA, ARL is a non-asset based provider of intermodal, dry van, flatbed and other transportation services. Terms were not disclosed.
* Lake Forest, ILL - 23 Dec: Coyote Logistics, LLC announced the pending acquisition of General Freight Services, Inc. ("GFS"). Based in Atlanta, GA, GFS provides freight brokerage services and had TTM revenue of $85 million. Terms were not disclosed.
Financial Buyers
* Warsaw, Poland - 15 Dec: Enterprise Investors has acquired 30.0% of Dystrybucja Polska Sp. z o.o. ul. for $2.1 million. Based in Poznan, Poland, Dystrybucja provides non-addressed mail delivery services.
