* Cummins CEO says company is poised for growth

Columbus,IND,USA -Forbes (NY,USA)/Associated Press -13 May 2008: -- Cummins Inc.'s chief executive said Tuesday that despite tough economic conditions, the diesel engine maker is poised for growth over the next several years... Chairman and CEO Tim Solso told shareholders at the company's annual meeting that Cummins managed to increase its share in key U.S. markets over the past year, while its international presence also continued to strengthen... Solso reiterated the company's sales target of 12 percent growth, which based on its 2007 sales of $13.05 billion, implies $14.61 billion in sales for 2008... Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expect $15.16 billion in revenue for the year...
