A new rail network would be built to take cargo from Melbourne's ports to the centres, taking large trucks off clogged roads in Melbourne's metropolitan area... The proposal won wide support from a who's who of business leaders taking part in a discussion about infrastructure as part of the Future Directions for the Australian Economy stream at the summit... "You then bypass all of the freeways," he said of the satellite distribution plan... "(Trucks) don't come into the city at all."...
