Since the kidnapping of a Bulgarian lorry driver at the Bistro 55 cafe last month, the Euroroute consortium, which is applying for permission to develop an enterprise park and secure truck park on a site one mile north of Caerwys, claims the need for a secure truck stop is now urgent... Bob Monks, leader of the United Road Transport Union, also said that the need for safe and secure facilities for drivers and their heavy goods vehicles is now paramount...
