* 3Q Revenue Dips for Covenant Transportation
Chattanooga,Tenn.,USA -TruckingInfo -19 Oct 2007: -- Covenant Transportation Group, said total revenue decreased 0.5 percent, to $175.8 million from $176.7 million in the same quarter of 2006. Freight revenue, which excludes fuel surcharges, increased 3 percent, to $148.5 million in the 2007 quarter from $144.1 million in the 2006 quarter... The company measures freight revenue because management believes that fuel surcharges tend to be a volatile source of revenue and the removal of such surcharges affords a more consistent basis for comparing results of operations from period to period...
* Knight Transportation Revenue Up 3.2%

Revenue before fuel surcharge, increased 3.5 percent, to $151.7 million from $146.6 million for the same quarter of 2006... Net income decreased to $14.5 million from $18.9 million for the same period of 2006. Net income per diluted share for the quarter was $0.17, compared to $0.22 for the same period of 2006...
