SPEED LIMIT * Canada - Ontario continues to impound speeding vehicles; no trucks mentioned
It appears that in Ontario, Canada, rather than putting speed limiters on trucks, it might be a good idea to put them on passenger vehicles
ONT,CAN -Land Line Magazine(USA) -October 23, 2007: -- ... Today’s Trucking reports that the provincial police have impounded the vehicles of 704 drivers since a new law took effect... That law provides that anyone doing more than 50 kilometers – or 31 miles – over the posted speed limit is subject to the temporary loss of his or her vehicle and license and fines up to $10,000... The report makes no mention of any heavy trucks being impounded, or any truckers losing their licenses...
