* Kenya - To ban four-axle trailers
Nairobi,Kenya -The Standard, by Samuel Otieno -9 May 2007: -- Heavy transit vehicles with four axles will be eliminated from the Kenyan roads by end of June this year, Transport Permanent Secretary Mr Gerishon Ikiara says... A new law has been drafted that will only allow trucks with a maximum of three axles... Set to be gazetted before the next financial year, the rules are aimed at protecting newly built Kenyan roads, which are being damaged by heavy trucks that ferry goods across the region...
