* USA - Ford May Post Record Annual Loss on Trucks, Costs
New York,NY,USA -Bloomberg, by Bill Koenig -Jan. 24, 2007: -- Ford Motor Co. probably will report a fourth-quarter loss tomorrow, capping its worst year ever... The quarterly loss at the second-largest U.S. automaker will be 95 cents a share excluding some costs, according to the average of 13 analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg. That would translate to more than $1.5 billion. A loss of just $400 million would push Ford's deficit for the year past its record $7.39 billion in 1992...

The Turin-based maker of cars and trucks said net profit in the fourth quarter of 2006 ended Dec. 31 was €452 million (US$587 million), from €38 million a year earlier, lifted by one-time asset sales...
