Security - Canada - Forty per cent of commercial trucks unsafe
Mississauga,Ontario,Canada -The MississaugaNews, by Gerry Timbers -Oct 11, 2006: -- About four of every 10 trucks stopped by Peel Regional Police during a one-day safety blitz failed inspections... Police issued a release today saying 108 of 270 commercial vehicles inspected yesterday at the International Centre in Malton failed and were subsequently taken off the road... These issues included tires, brakes, suspensions, load security, the transportation of dangerous goods and driver qualifications...
