Brussels,Belgium -Transport News Network (UK) -18 Oct 2006: -- The European Commission has issued formal notifications to Greece and Cyprus urging implementation of measures for the use of digital tachograph in road transport operations... On 1st May 2006, the digital tachograph became mandatory for all new heavy goods vehicles and buses in the European Union. However, Greece and Cyprus have yet to transpose the directive into national law, which leaves them out of sync, with most other member states...
