Watchdog Signs - USA - Don’t always distance trucking firms from liability

MO,USA -Kansas City Star -22 Aug 2006: -- Bill Roland of Liberty wondered whether signs on the rear of dump trucks that state, “WARNING! Stay back 300 feet. Not responsible for damage to windshields,” hold any legal significance... Roland said it’s absurd to think a driver could maintain that distance behind a truck on roads that have many stoplights, such as Missouri 291... “If they (the signs) do relieve responsibility, where can I get one that fits on a passenger car?” Roland asked...
