Intermodal - USA - Trucking firm Schneider to add train link to Ohio Valley
Milwaukee,WI,USA -The Business Journal of Milwaukee -01 Jun 2006: -- Trucking services provider Schneider National Inc. said Wednesday that it is rolling out intermodal service to the Ohio Valley through a collaboration with other firms in the region... The new service, to launch June 5, will operate through a Schneider-operated intermodal ramp in Marion, Ohio, and dedicated trains between Marion and Kansas City, Mo. The service will feature connections to California and the Southwest... Four trains will run the 700-mile route, allowing for departures six days a week. Schneider said the service will cut one day from existing transit times for freight originating in the market...
