Heavy trucks can't stop on a dimeConcord,NH,USA -Concord Monitor, by RONALD PELLETERI -June 01. 2006: -- With nearly 20 years as a truck driver at Pike Industries, six years to retirement and a perfect driving record, it sometimes seems that I'll need much more than skill, good judgment and defensive driving to complete my career with an unblemished record... Am I just venting? No!... My message is that motorists need to understand and respect the inability of heavy trucks to stop on a dime or quickly maneuver out of trouble spots created by other drivers...
