Troubles - Canada - More trucks=lost jobs, group says
B.C., Canada -Ladysmith Chronicle -Mar 28, 2006: -- Joanna Dudley from the Youbou Timberless Society (YTS), changes the tally as another logging truck is spotted on the highway. The YTS says logs are being exported at the expense of local sawmilling jobs... Over four days from 6:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., YTS members counted slightly less than 1,000 trucks... Another tally done at “the hump” near Port Alberi the same four days totalled just over 300 trucks... (Photo: Andrew Topf)
