Truck Accidents - USA - ATA official questions FMCSA report
Louisville, Ky.,USA -Trucks World -24 Mar 2006: -- An official of the American Trucking Associations took issue with a new study released March 24 that shows driver behaviors, not other factors, cause a majority of wrecks and that 56 percent are the fault of four-wheeler drivers than those driving large trucks... The study was released March 24 by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration... Mike Russell, vice president of public affairs at ATA said the recent data from the American Automobile Association showed that in fatal accidents involving big trucks and cars, 75 percent were the fault of the car and that a 1999 FMCSA study showed that 71 percent were caused by the cars...
