Australia -Supply Chain Review -11 Jan 2006: -- Isuzu trucks has recorded its 17th consecutive year of Australian truck market sales leadership in 2005 dominating the light market segment, winning back leadership in the medium market and registering strong results in the heavy segment... As the Australian truck market powered to another record sales year, Isuzu built on its continued market dominance selling a total of 7718 trucks in 2005 according to industry standard data provided by ERG Truck Tracker... The nearest competitors Hino and Mitsubishi sold 4674 and 3669 trucks respectively... Kenworth maintained its dominance of the Heavy Truck end of the market with 2287 trucks sold in 2005 taking 22.2 percent of the market with competitors, Volvo, Mack and Isuzu following with 1116, 1092 and 1034 respectively, all hovering around the 10 percent market share...
