Transportation Secretary Bill Nighbert says he supports raising the speed limit to 70 miles per hour, in exchange for a primary seatbelt law. That's where police can pull you over solely for not buckling up... Here is a look at how Kentucky compares to other states in the region. In Illinois, trucks can drive 55, while the speed limit for other traffic is 65. In Missouri and Tennessee, the speed limit is 70 miles per hour for all vehicles...
