One of the cars tested was the Jeep Grand Cherokee. If you drive it, you are safe, but if you are a pedestrian, you are out of luck. The 4x4 was awarded zero stars for pedestrian protection... EuroNCAP introduced the pedestrian protection tests because car manufacturers were starting to use more and more resources to make the car safe for its occupants, but simultaneously making it more and more dangerous to be hit by a car, as a pedestrian. The test is done by running the car into a crash test dummy at 25 mph, and measuring the effects on the dummy...
