Tyres - Malaysia - Michelin keen to penetrate original equipment mart
Malaysia -Business Times, by ZURAIMI ABDULLAH -Oct 4 2005: -- French tyremaker Michelin’s Malaysian outfit hopes to make inroads into the OE (original equipment) market by the end of next year... Outside Malaysia, he said, Michelin is OE supplier for Toyota Camry and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, among others... The campaign features Michelin’s Green X technology applied on its Energy range of tyres, which it claims can reduce vehicle emission and cut tyre-related fuel consumption by 5 per cent... Michelin, the world’s number one tyre manufacturer, said the Green X technology reduces lower rolling resistance in its Energy range of tyres... Headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand and with Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore, Michelin employs more than 127,000 people worldwide...
