Violations - Japan - Police raid trucking companies
KOBE, Japan -Japan Today (Tokyo) -August 18, 2005: — Police raided seven trucking companies in Hyogo, Kyoto and Osaka prefectures on Thursday over operating trucks equipped with decorative boards and windshield film which restrict the driver's view of the road, the police said... The police said they suspect the trucking firms allowed their employees to drive trucks fitted with such devices between May and July this year although they knew that installing such equipment is a violation of the road traffic law... Comments: what about: drugs, young japanaese girls prostituting, yakuza crime, and other stuff that is occuring. a raid is a little too intense for such police measures concerning that but then again maybe it is not. afterall i would not wish for a truck to hit me due to poor visibility for the driver. so safety in japan does come first.2005 japan a safer japan!
