Production - Mongolia - Truck plant to build in Hohhot
HOHHOT,China - Yahoo News (press release)/USA -16 Aug 2005: -- FAW Jiefang Automobile Company, a subsidiary of China's FAW Automobile Group, will team up with two local partners to build a Jiefang-brand medium and heavy-duty truck plant in China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The project, involving a total investment of 3 billion yuan (US$370.50 million), will cover an area of more than 333 hectares in the economic and technological development zone of Hohhot. During the first phase of the project, which is scheduled for completion in 2006, the plant will produce 5,000 trucks annually. An agreement was recently signed with the partners, the city government of Hohhot and the Inner Mongolia Yiyang Automobile Sales Co., Ltd.
