Production - Japan - Ceramic spark plugs to triple output for diesel vehicles
Nagoya,Japan -Yahoo News (press release)/USA -16 Aug 2005: -- NGK Spark Plug Co., plans by fiscal 2006 to triple production of ceramic spark plugs for diesel vehicles to 5.4 million units a year. The company is seeking to meet rising demand for high-value-added ceramic spark plugs, as diesel vehicles gain in popularity in Europe and other countries following stricter emissions regulations. NGK plans to focus its domestic operations at a facility in Komaki, Aichi Prefecture which is being built at a cost of about 10 billion yen (US$91.4 million)...
