Bill eases paperwork for shippers
Green Bay,WI,USA Green Bay Press Gazette, by Adam Wise -July 04 2005: -- A bill awaiting state Senate approval would extend the length of semitrailers and tractor-semitrailer combinations allowed without a permit on state highways... The bill, which covers only numbered highways, also allows trucks to go 15 miles off highways onto roads not designated by the Department of Transportation to reach their delivery points... The bill would allow 53-foot semitrailers and tractor-semitrailer combinations of up to 75 feet...
