David Anderson scoots slowly up and down Interstate 81, listening to music with no real place to go... He is unlike most truck drivers, who deliver freight across the country on ultra-tight schedules... "Everybody passes me," he said. "I'm like a turtle.".. Anderson drives an ad truck -- a 13-foot-high, 36-foot-long mobile banner that tends to be difficult to maneuver in high winds... He makes about $12 an hour cruising up and down I-81 between Bristol and Wytheville on his most recent of jobs, toting a banner that reads, "Smokey Prowling For Violations Next 50 Miles."...
