Saint-Vallier,DrĂ´me,France -Fleet Owner, by Brian Straight -Feb 28, 2012: -- Norbert Dentressangle has taken delivery of the first truck to meet Euro VI emissions standards, a Mercedes-Benz truck with a BlueTec 6 engine. The engine reduces particle emissions by 50% and nitrogen oxide emissions by 77%, Mercedes-Benz said... Euro VI standards are the next step in European emissions standards. They will be required for all new trucks beginning Jan. 1, 2014. Norbert noted that 90% of its fleet meets Euro IV and Euro V standards now. Compared to Euro V standards, Euro VI marks require a 66% reduction in particle matter and 77% less nitrogen...
