Detroit,MICH,USA -The Detroit News -May 13, 2010: -- Ban on texting while driving only part of distracted driver problem... Selecting songs on iPod, eating and personal grooming are also distracting... Aftermarket navigation systems don't have lockouts to prevent programming while driving as do OEM systems... Voice control seems a valid solution as demonstrated by Ford Sync and GM OnStar. Passengers may control devices while vehicle is moving arguing against banning...
