* Hydrogen Highway Being Built Around the World

Vital for market deployment of existing, future fuel cell vehicles; starting to happen around the world... Latest addition from Wales and south of England along M4 corridor. Highway from Oslo, Norway, to Stavangar covers 600 kilometers. Part of broader HyNor project w/ 7 fueling stations. Sweden, Denmark constructing elements of wider Scandinavian Hydrogen Highway Partnership to link w/ Norway... More than 30 stations in Germany and companies announced ambitious plans for major expansion by 2015. 2015 goal: 20 operating main, 15 satellite stations supporting 100 buses, 500 cars, 500 specialty vehicles... In America: Canada - Highway goes from Victoria to Whistler, BC, covering 180 kilometers; used by fuel cell buses of BC Transit... Most developed network in CAL wtih two major clusters around Los Angeles and San Francisco to Sacramento. There are more than 25 refueling stations in CA... 12 stations in Japan sited within 11 cities, although they do not really comprise highway system yet... * UK - Hydrogen-powered vans go on trial...and sale

London,UK -Fleet News -19 February 201o: -- The Royal Mail is to trial Ford Transit vans powered by hydrogen-fuelled internal combustion engines... The two vans, built by specialist engineering firm Revolve, will be taking part in a six-month trial at Stornaway in Scotland, after being purchased by Cenex, the Centre of Excellence for Low Carbon and Fuel-Cell Technologies... The vans, based on the 2.3-litre petrol variant, have a supercharger added, while either two or three hydrogen tanks are fitted under the load-floor so not impacting on cargo space...
