Most of those Allied Systems Holdings Inc. is laying off are drivers. Secretary-Treasurer, Fred Ortiz of Teamsters Local says the company is laying off about 10 others... Ortiz tells The Flint Journal the drivers are owner-operators who have invested as much as $150,000 in their vehicles... Allied Systems is based in Atlanta. Its Flint-area operations are in Genesee County’s Flint Township...
