Electronic Tachograph * Azerbaijan - EU demand to become compulsory since 2010
Baku,Azerbaijan -Fineko/abc.az -24 July 2009: -- The Association of International Motor Freight Forwarders of Azerbaijan (ABADA) has informed that the European Union’s toughened requirements on exhaust gas norms have told on international motor carriages by its members... ABADA chairman, Tofig Nurullayev, says that only separate truck hauliers of Azerbaijan carried cargo with destination in the EU countries... “They, as a rule, have quite new trucks and toughened exhaust requirements did not close a road to Europe for them. At the same time the EU is going to introduce compulsory demand on equipping of trucks with electronic tachogpaphs, and this can have impact on access of trucks from Azerbaijan to highways of Europe,” Nurullayev said...
