Kirkland,Wash,USA -Truck News (CAN) -12 Nov 2008: -- Kenworth will incorporate new cab and sleeper interior appointments for its Class 8 and medium duty conventional models starting next month... Kenworth is adding Trust Walnut-coloured wood finish accents to the dash, doors and sleeper panel trim for the Kenworth T660, T800, W900 and C500 models with the Diamond interior... The new Marathon seat insert material becomes standard for Kenworth’s Air-Cushion Plus, Air-Cushion Premium Plus and Steel Tool Box Plus proprietary seats, and for sofa beds in Kenworth’s 86-inch AeroCab and 72-inch AeroCab AERODYNE sleepers. The new seat material provides a fresh look for the driver and rider seats and Kenworth sofa bed, and retains the same stain-resistant treatment of the previous seat material... * Paccar’s credit losses increase in third quarter
Bellevue,WA,USA -Land Line Magazine -November 12, 2008: -- Officials with Paccar, the company that manufactures the Peterbilt, Kenworth and DAF nameplates, reported $34.2 million in credit losses in the third quarter of 2008, nearly $12 million more than the $24.4 million in credit losses in the second quarter... “Profit was reduced due to an increase in the provision for credit losses due to higher truck repossessions in the U.S. and Canada,” Paccar officials stated in late October...
