5/30 - USA - Xpress Global Systems, Inc. has acquired Pinner Transportation, Inc. , a regional carrier based in the Southwest that specializes in floor covering logistics and less-than-truckload service. Terms were not disclosed.

Strategic Buyers: Foreign Deals
5/26 - Malaysia - Konsortium Logistik Bhd announced the acquisition of Asia Pacific Freight System Sdn Bhd for $1.9 million. Based in Malaysia, Asia Pacific Freight System provides freight services through air, sea, rail and road networks.

5/26 - France - Matériaux transports terrassement varois has acquired Transport Hesse. Terms were not disclosed.

5/27 - Holland - TNT Express Holdings B.V. has acquired Aircare Charters and Brokers Ltd for $2.2 million. Based in Kenya, Aircare Charters provides courier services.

5/28 - Dubai/UAE - DP World - UAE has acquired 25% of Chennai Container Terminal Private Limited, a provider of container terminal services based in Chennai, India. Terms were not disclosed.

5/29 - UK - Wincanton plc has acquired Product Support Limited for $59.3 million. Based in Kingswinford, UK, Product Support Limited provides outsourced handling services and packaging solutions.


* Canada - Mullen Buys Fluid, Oilfield Transport Firm

Okotoks,Alberta,Canada -Transport Topics -5 June 2008: -- Canadian transportation firm Mullen Group Income Fund said Thursday it would buy the transport unit of Essential Energy Services Trust for C$135 million... The purchase includes Essential’s fluid hauling and oilfield transport business units, Mullen said in a statement... The fluid hauling business units operate under the name Cascade Services in northern Alberta and northeastern British Columbia provinces and as Jacar Energy Services in southern Alberta, Mullen said...
