Sydney,NSW,Australia -Materials Handling -20 June 2008: -- The AUSTRALIAN Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) has completed upgrades on a rail corridor between Parkes in NSW and Crystal Brook in SA... The $5.7m line runs from Parkes to Perth and Adelaide, and is said to have enhanced clearance at six structures between the regions... The upgrades will allow double-stacking of containers, with storage at 6.5m above rail level. This will allow more goods to be transported on the line, while keeping the same number of trains.100 trucks’ worth of goods can be transported by every 1500m train...
