TRUCKERS' PROTEST * USA - Trucker fed up with diesel prices plans protest

Diesel fuel costs are frustrating Donald Waltenbaugh so much that he's parking his tractor-trailer truck and inviting people to join him in an all-day protest Monday

Pittsburgh,PA,USA -The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, by Chuck Biedka -March 22, 2008: -- ... Consumers should worry about increasing diesel prices, too, because America relies on its trucks, he said... "There are no rail lines at the doors of Giant Eagle, and the tug boats don't go there, either," the 42-year-old Parks man said... To make his point, Waltenbaugh is inviting truckers, excavators and tow truck operators to park their rigs next to his "Doolittle Digging" tr1uck for 24 hours between midnight Sunday until 12:01 a.m. Tuesday. The rig displays a Harley Davidson front license plate on its huge chrome bumper and studded wheel covers... ( Photo by Justin Guido/Valley News - Don Waltenbaugh)
