Trucker's Help * UK - crushed drunken driver’s hope of getaway

London,UK -Times Online -December 8, 2007: -- Daniel Mallett had been sought for two days by police for a catalogue of appalling driving in Plymouth and was more than three times over the drink-driving limit when Stewart Thomas used his truck to jam the Jaguar into railings on Tavistock Road... At Plymouth Crown Court, Mallett, 29, of Barne Barton, Plymouth, admitted dangerous driving on two occasions and driving with excess alcohol in his blood. He was jailed for a total of ten months and banned from driving for four years... The Recorder, Nicolas Gerasimidis, also commended Mr Thomas and awarded him a £200 reward for his public-spirited action...
