MARKETS * Japan -Vehicle Sales May Fall in 2007 on Truck Slump
Tokyo,Japan -Bloomberg, by Naoko Fujimura -March 15, 2007: -- Vehicle sales in Japan, the world's third-largest auto market, may fall to a 23-year low next fiscal year as truck sales are expected to decline following a surge in demand triggered by new environmental rules... Sales of cars, minicars, trucks and buses may drop 2 percent to 5.52 million vehicles in the 12 months starting April 1, from an estimated 5.63 million in the current business year, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association said in a release today.
