Baku,Azerbaijan -TREND Information, by S.Aliyev -25 Nov 2006: -- Ganja Car Factory of Azerbaijan concluded an agreement with Minsk Car Plant “MAZ” and Minsk Tractor Plant on the assemblage, on the base of Ganja Car Factory, of all kinds of trucks and tractors, produced by these enterprises... The Tractor Plant produces a total of 500 modifications and the Car Plant – 400. Ganja Car Factory is capable to assemble a total of 1000 trucks and 1000 tractors annually...
* Sweden - Volvo Trucks invests US$94m in painting facility
Sweden -Automotive World (London,UK) -28 Nov, 2006: -- Volvo Trucks has announced an investment at its new topcoat paint facility in Umea, Sweden, whereby the facility will have the capability of painting plastic components... This entails an investment of SEK138m (US$20m) of the total investment of SEK650m (US$94m) and will also mean an increased number of robots in both the priming and topcoat facilities. According to the company, this investment for painting plastics involves changes in both technology and logistics...
