* USA - Oshkosh 4th profit rises on clean-air prebuy
CHICAGO,IL,USA -Reuters -Oct 31, 2006: -- Oshkosh Truck Corp. said its quarterly profit rose 15 percent as truckers rushed to update their vehicle fleets ahead of tough and expensive new U.S. emission rules... The company also reported strong results at its fire and emergency vehicle unit, thanks to strong sales to airports. Even so, the results weren't enough to offset a decline in defense revenues and came in below what many analysts had expected...
