Dick Durbin said Illinois National Guard troops are facing a severe equipm çent shortage at home because of the many items left behind during their service in Iraq... Durbin said estimates show -- for example -- less than 10 percent of the Army Guard's necessary medium and heavy trucks and only 65 percent of its required light trucks are available... The Illinois Democrat said he was particularly alarmed about what impact equipment shortages would have in case of state emergencies...
