Development - USA - Of Heavy-Duty Hybrid System For Class 8 Vehicles
Los Angeles,CA,USA -Trading Markets/RTTNews -June 22, 2006: -- On Thursday, Eaton Corp., revealed that it has started development of a hybrid electric power system for the class 8 heavy-duty commercial vehicle market, which is capable of delivering on-road efficiency as well as idle reduction, resulting in fuel saving and emission reductions... The Cleveland, Ohio based company noted that the system being developed for the heavy-duty segment will be almost similar in design as the medium-duty hybrid electric system developed for the class 4 to class 7 vehicles. Though the heavy-duty system will have many of its components similar to the medium-duty system, it will be adapted for class 8 vehicles with on-highway applications...
