Australia -Australasian Bus and Coach -3 Apr 2006: -- The trucking industry has welcomed changes to the fuel grants scheme, despite the administrative headaches it could present to some operators... Legislation currently before parliament will increase record keeping requirements and encourage participation in accredited maintenance programs and other government environmental initiatives... Although all trucks with an emission standard of Euro 1 and later will automatically receive the on-road grant, trucks manufactured prior to December 31, 1995 will have to meet an emissions requirement by either being a member of an audited maintenance scheme, passing an emissions test or undertaking scheduled maintenance on their vehicle in accordance with a government-approved schedule...
