Purchases - USA - Port of Oakland fleet modernization program
USA -Fleet Owner -Jan 11, 2006: -- The Port of Oakland (CA) has awarded TIAX, a product and technology development firm, a contract to replace older heavy-duty diesel trucks that service the port with newer lower-emissions vehicles. The Port will provide up to $1.5 million to replace about 60 trucks... TIAX implemented a similar fleet modernization program in the Los Angeles area, in which 350 trucks were replaced. That project is expected to eliminate 1,000 tons of emissions over the planned five-year life of the project...
