Australia -The Age -13 Dec 2005: -- The government has announced the first phase of a $3 billion plan to re-equip frontline defence units with new trucks, four-wheel drive vehicles and trailers... The contracts, worth up to $600 million, will include replacements for the existing fleet of about 1,400 heavy and light vehicles, 1,300 trailers and 1,200 modules fitted to basic vehicles and trailers to enable them to be used in specialist roles...
