PRODUCTION - JAPAN - Tainted Mitsubishi Fuso gets gov't reprieve on new trucks
Tokyo,Japan - Mainichi Shimbun - Jan. 28, 2005: The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on Friday granted tainted Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corp. type approval to sell new vehicles, after accepting a follow-up report from the firm on safety and managerial responsibility... The ministry had frozen type approval of new vehicles since autumn last year following deaths caused by Mitsubishi vehicle faults. The approval was announced by Land, Infrastructure and Transport Minister Kazuo Kitagawa in a news conference held after a Cabinet meeting Friday...
