* Illinois - Navistar to Pay $7.5 Million to settle SEC charges
-- Navistar International Corp. agreed to pay $7.5 million to settle charges from the Securities and Exchange Commission that the truck maker mislead investors about the ability of a new truck engine in development to meet U.S. emission standards... The SEC alleged that Navistar and Mr. Ustian failed to fully disclose the company’s difficulties in obtaining Environmental Protection Agency approval of a truck engine able to meet stricter emission standards that took effect in 2010... In 2012, Navistar abandoned the effort to develop its exhaust treatment technology after spending hundreds of millions of dollars on it. Mr. Ustian, resigned as CEO a short time later...
