The government has admitted that 145 highway projects under the National Highways Development Programme (NHDP) are running behind schedule and many of them are delayed by 2-6 years
New Delhi,India -The Times of India -27 November 2009: -- Minister of state for roads, transport and highways, RPN Singh, told Rajya Sabha in a written reply that the length of these projects is 5,311 km out of which 2,943 km have already been completed... Significantly, in most of these cases only a small patch of the project stretch is yet to be completed.
