Fred Andersky, director of marketing for the company’s controls product business team, said June 24 he expects the five truck makers that already offer Bendix’s full-stability control system also to offer the automatic braking, called “adaptive cruise control,” because the systems are built to work together... The manufacturers are Navistar Inc., Kenworth Truck Co., Peterbilt Motors Co., Mack Trucks Inc. and Volvo Trucks North America...
* Cummins’ plant in Indiana hit hard by floods
Columbus,IN,USA -The Indianapolis Star/Land Line Magazine -July 7, 2008: -- Heavy truck engine-maker Cummins took a big hit from flooding at its Columbus, IN, plant... The Indianapolis Star reported that the plant suffered at least $100 million worth of damage as muddy flood waters flowed into basements and ground floors at the complex...
