Study: CARS POLLUTION TWICE THAN TRUCKS * France
* Paris - The NOx emissions from diesel vehicles are equivalent to double those heavyweight Euro VI
the International Council for Clean Transportation (ICCT) reveals that in actual driving conditions, the NOx emissions from diesel vehicles Euro 6 are equivalent to double those heavyweight Euro VI... This is an unprecedented European study, published in December 2016 by independent research group, which played a key role in the discovery of cheating Volkswagen in 2015 (Dieselgate)... The document, written by Rachel Muncrief, researcher at the ICCT, restores the air pollution in terms of truth in nitrogen oxide (NOx), and the conclusions are edifying. Based on tests conducted by the Technical Research Centre of Finland on 24 trucks and those conducted by the KBA in Germany on light vehicles, ICCT shows that in real driving conditions, the latter emit twice as much NOx than the former...
